Here’s my story…
As a former Labor and Delivery Nurse and childbirth educator, I’ve always been passionate about working with pregnant women, the growth of families and being intimately involved in the birth of babies (so emotional….I used to cry seeing the babies born). I always knew I wanted to be a mother myself; wondering whether I would ever have the chance.
Recognizing a desire to go back to school, I chose law over medicine. The answer for me was simple…
…as a nurse I advocate for my patients and as a lawyer, I advocate for my clients.
I strongly believe my work is not a job but a service guided by principles of truth, honesty, love and courage.
I believe strongly the right families come for the right babies and the right babies are there for the right families; there being a higher hand in everything.
I believe everyone involved is connected through the child and that honoring one’s birth family and holding them in the highest regard is the key to the child’s positive growth and development.
I am compassionate, knowledgeable and passionate about promoting a caring experience for both the birth parents and adoptive parents.
When I eventually became a mother, I knew first hand the magnitude and depth of love I felt for another human being; a love so deep, like none I’d otherwise experienced. After experiencing the loss of my second born child,
I focused my energies on helping families
whose children had life threatening illnesses. After coming in contact with a family who likewise lost a biological child and was unable to conceive, I referred them to an adoption attorney I had known. Ultimately, through my passion, I myself
assisted the family through the adoption process;
matching them with a beautiful couple expecting a baby whom, at the time, feeling unable to parent, gave birth and placed their child into the family’s hearts and home. That was August 2006.
The rest is history!
