How We Met: We met on a beautiful day in sunny New Mexico. David was a good friend of my sister and brother in law. When I flew down from WA to visit them, they had it all planned out for the two of us to meet. Our introduction was comical. I was napping only minutes before and felt like a total hot mess. After getting introduced David reached for my hand and said “shakes first!” I wasn’t sure what he was implying. But despite all of that we immediately connected. Our romance was a total whirlwind and after only knowing each other for 3 months David proposed to me! I said yes, of course, and 3 months after that we were married!

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: David is driven, encouraging and adventurous. He is the kind of person who makes friends everywhere he goes and he always does whatever he sets out to do! He is a wonderful teacher and a patient and caring friend. Megan is spunky, creative, and an incredibly faithful friend. Megan does excellently at whatever she sets her mind to, but she is especially talented at loving others. She throws the best parties, gives the best gifts, and just knows how to be there when you need her to be.

Our Hobbies and Interests: Exploring and going on adventures are one of our favorite things to do. We love kayaking, hiking and taking road trips together. We are both musicians and love to sit around the piano and sing and play music together. We also love spending time with family and friends and have a large community that we enjoy gathering with. Playing board games, cooking together and just spending time together are all things we truly enjoy. Life is a joy when you have your best friend by your side!

Why We Want to Adopt: Very early on in our marriage we started trying to have children but for unknown reasons we have been unable to conceive. There have been many tears and frustrations over the years as our hopes to get pregnant were constantly unanswered. Throughout the years we have talked about adoption and what a beautiful thing it would be to bring home a baby. But only recently did we really feel peace to push forward in this dream to adopt. We believe that adoption is a beautiful way to grow a family and that if we are chosen, that this child was the one (or more) we have been praying for all along.
