How We Met: We met in college at a Halloween party! We exchanged very few words that night and we would have never imagined that in just a few years we would be married. We were set up together by some mutual friends who thought we would make a good match. After a few dates, we decided it wasn’t working out. But after that, we became friends and eventually started dating again. It seems our friends were right all along! We’ve now been married for 8 years and truly are best friends.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: James is very kind and always knows how to make people laugh. He genuinely cares for the people around him and is a great father! He is also very curious and creative. Audrey has a kind, loving heart and is an incredible mother. She has so much fun with our daughter, Colette, and has the best laugh! She always puts others before herself and is very family oriented.

Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a creative and adventurous family! We love to travel and explore new places. Our home is filled with creativity, as James plays several musical instruments and enjoys painting as well. We both love to read and learn new things. We love spending time outdoors, going for hikes and playing tennis.

Why We Want to Adopt: We decided to adopt when we experienced 3 years of unexplained infertility. We knew we wanted to have children and thought that adoption was the path for our family. When we were already far along in the adoption process, we were shocked to find out Audrey was pregnant! Our daughter, Colette, is such a joy, but we don’t know if we will be able to have more children biologically due to secondary infertility. We would love to grow our family through adoption.
