How We Met: We met on a mutual friend’s trip in high school back in 2009. That summer we were always doing stuff with our small group of friends and became good friends ourselves. We started dating a few months later and were engaged in 2013 on Austin’s annual family vacation up in Minnesota. We got married a year later and have been on an amazing adventure ever since!

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Caitlin is caring and works hard to make sure everyone’s needs are met before her own. She is also the best example of how to be a person of perseverance. The more life throws at her, the more she digs into God’s word and prays. Austin is always up for adventure and is someone who always finds something fun to do outside. He is a jack of all trades and is the type of person who will drop what he is doing to help anyone who needs it. Austin is the rock in our marriage and is always one to turn our relationship back to God.

Our Hobbies and Interests: We like to ride our Ranger around the country during the summer and even take it on our annual family trip up to Minnesota. We like to go to different national and local parks to hike whenever we can. Ever since we started dating, we take a trip to Prairie du Chien to have burgers at a burger stand. We love being able to continue that tradition with our son and future kids. Austin enjoys hunting, fishing, or anything outdoors. Caitlin likes to bake and play with our dogs. Brooks, our son, loves anything with wheels and a motor. He also loves being outside and never stops running around.

Why We Want to Adopt: We felt God pushing us to the path of adoption in the fall of 2020. We always knew we wanted another child and a sibling for our son, Brooks, and instead of trying to have another biologically, we have felt God calling us to pursue adoption. We want to show God’s love to a child and a birth family as well.
