How We Met: We began dating in 2011 after meeting on eHarmony. We both knew on our first date that it was the start of something special. Ben was captivated by Jessica’s smile from the moment he laid eyes on her. He also appreciated her witty sense of humor. Jessica loved the way she could talk and laugh with Ben for hours on end and his piercing green eyes. We dated for six months before getting engaged and we were married just over a year since meeting for our first date. A decade later and we continue to fall in love with each other daily.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Jessica is the person I always want to talk to, whether it be a funny story, a challenge at work, or a concern for the future. She is compassionate and understanding. Her heart goes out to anyone she sees in need. Jessica works in Human Resources and enjoys working with people and ensuring that her employees are happy and taken care of. Jessica is hilarious with a great sense of humor. She loves to quote her favorite movies and sing along to songs on the radio. Jessica is an amazing baker. Her love for children is evident in every encounter she has with them. I love watching her love and care for our son Isaac. Their bond is strong, and I look forward to watching her become a mother all over again. Ben is the love of my life and my best friend. He is kind, honorable, and has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen. His outgoing nature and ability to talk/relate to anyone is incredible. Ben engages with every child he encounters with boundless joy and energy. Kids tend to flock to him and his goofy nature. Ben loves playing board games, sports, and having friends over to enjoy his amazing cooking skills. Ben makes Isaac and me laugh every day. He is an adoring husband and father and shows us both how much he loves us every day.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are an active family and enjoy being outside as often as the weather allows. We love to travel and explore new places. Our extended families live all over the U.S. and we enjoy spending time with them often. We also enjoy spending quiet time at home as a family playing board games, watching tv/movies together while eating popcorn and conducting kid-friendly science experiments with our son Isaac. We adore Isaac and we love being parents. We both grew up with siblings and we’ve always planned for Isaac to have younger brothers or sisters. He’s super excited about bringing a baby into our family and he says (and we agree) that he will be the greatest big brother ever!
Why We Want to Adopt: We have always known that we wanted to have children. Although we cannot have biological children of our own, we’ve had a great experience with adoption through the adoption of our son Isaac in November of 2017. We’ve loved every moment of being his parents and he definitely keeps us on our toes! We’ve always wanted two or more children, and we really want a sibling for Isaac. He’s such a fun and nurturing kid, and he can’t wait to bring home a little brother or sister!
