How We Met: We met in London, while working and living abroad in 2015. We were friends first but realized quickly (and our friends said the same) that it was meant to be. We grew closer and closer while abroad through our many travel adventures. We were engaged in 2018 and had to delay our wedding due to COVID but eventually were married in 2020. After our time in London, we moved back to the states in 2019, we lived in San Francisco for a couple of years and then settled in Massachusetts in 2021.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: In Brad’s words, “I love Jackie’s focus on family and her level-headed approach to life. I also love her adventurous spirit and her never ending support of family and friends. I admire her work ethic and am thrilled she has found a field that she has such a strong passion for as she connects with people so well in the human resources space. Finally, I also respect her strong belief in equality, fairness, and compassion for all people from all walks of life.”
In Jackie’s words, “I love Brad’s passion for his family, friends, sports teams, and giving to others. I also admire his intelligence and how he encourages me to think about the world in different ways. He is also one of the most thoughtful and charitable people I know. And he is an extremely loving and active father that shows so much love to our family.”
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a very active family. We love to travel, explore new places and experience new cultures. We enjoy hiking, running, tennis, and going to sporting events. We love spending time with our family and friends and love bringing people together whether it is to watch a game, a backyard BBQ, or a celebration! We also really enjoy quiet movie nights and a home cooked meal! We both love being parents and our life is family focused.
Why We Want to Adopt: Adoption has always been in our hearts since we met, as we discussed having a family. Our daughter was born in 2020 and was premature due to medical complications with the pregnancy. Due to the health impact on Jackie, our desire to adopt only became a further focus and led us to the point where we are today in readying ourselves to welcome home a new member to our family through adoption.
