How We Met: We met in high school in Spanish class—Corbin sat in front of me and always used to get us in trouble because he would turn around and talk to me. We were great friends, but never dated. We reconnected after college and developed a very strong friendship that eventually grew into a very deep love and appreciation for each other- we started dating and a year and a half later were engaged. We have now been married for 4 years and still love each other greatly and are each other’s biggest supporter.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Corbin is outgoing, kind, very compassionate towards others and a hard worker. He is an amazing father to our son Hayes and he works very hard to make sure that our family is provided for and that we can also help meet the needs of others. He is the spiritual leader in our family and goes above and beyond for us. Michele is also very outgoing, she is a wonderful mother and is a friend to everyone that she comes in contact with. Michele has never met a stranger and always does her best to make sure that everyone feels loved, included and supported. She is an amazing mother to our son and is incredibly patient.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a very active family. We love to explore new places, go to the zoo with our son, try new restaurants and spend time outside. We love holidays and celebrating birthdays with each other! Corbin loves all things sports—him and our son Hayes enjoy spending time outside throwing the ball and playing. Corbin loves to play golf and go fishing. Michele loves to bake, read and exercise. She is gluten free and loves to try to recreate recipes in the kitchen with Hayes. We are very involved in our church and love to spend time with other families in our church group and in our neighborhood.
Why We Want to Adopt: We have always known that we wanted to adopt since we got married. Michele had a daughter in high school that she gave up for adoption to her parents. She is a huge part of our lives and lives with Michele’s parents only a few hours away. Shortly after we got married, we realized that we were unable to conceive naturally. Instead of pursuing infertility treatments we felt as though we were being called to adoption and our hearts were set on adding to our family in that way. We adopted our first son in January 2021 through adoption and are excited to add to our family once again!
