How We Met: We met when we were 13 and 14 years old…when both of our families began attending the same Church. After a few years, we began hanging out in the same group of friends. Then we started dating when we were 17 and 18 years old. Since our families were close, we easily fit into each other’s lives, and just fell deeper in love with each other as we got to know one another. While we were dating, we couldn’t explain it, but we always knew there was something extraordinary about the other person and just knew we were meant to be married and be together.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Damien has the sweetest personality that makes people feel comfortable and loved. He will do anything for the people he loves. No acts of service is too big. He is an amazing husband and provider. He has the best work ethic, he listens, he is a man of God and prayer. Apart from Rita’s generosity and charm, the care and love she gives knows no bounds. Rita is amazing with children and is simply looking forward to nurturing and loving our future children every single day. We are both very committed to our marriage and family and have learned that having faith, loving others and having a sense of humor is the key to life.
Our Hobbies and Interests: Some of our favorite things we do for fun are exploring new places to travel, trying different restaurants, and exploring new coffee shops. Since the beginning of our relationship, we have always treasured these moments spent together because we are able to share quality time with one another while enjoying the experience together. We also love cooking together. Most evenings we turn on a little Dean Martin and enjoy each other’s good food and company.
Why We Want to Adopt: When we first got married, our deepest desire was to start a family. But we found out soon after that we had infertility and could not get pregnant. After 10 years of trying, God has put the desire to adopt on our hearts to start our family. We cannot wait to see God’s plan unfold. We know that adoption is not just about us, but you, your life, your child, and our two families coming together with love rooted in the middle. We want you to know that we will love and cherish your child with every ounce that is in us.
