How We Met: We met each other in the Fall semester of 2003, when fate placed us in the same nutrition class that we needed for our nursing degrees. Since we first started dating, we each knew we had met our soul mate. After dating six years, finishing college, and buying a home together, we got married on April 12, 2009. The foundation of our relationship is based on trust, honesty, and respect. We value and respect each other’s thoughts and ideas and encourage and support each other both personally and professionally. From our experience as nurses, we have learned to appreciate the little things in life and to make the most of everyday.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Danny is compassionate, honest, and caring. Danny is outgoing and friendly; he enjoys gathering with family and friends. He is devoted to his family and loves planning adventures for our family to create memories. As a dad, he is very involved and always makes time for his daughter. Natalia is sweet, easy-going, and very family-oriented. She believes life isn’t always picture perfect, but it is always a blessing. She enjoys spending time together and going along with Danny’s adventures. As a mom, Natalia is nurturing, sweet, and selfless. Our marriage is a combination of love, respect, and honesty. It is solid and grows every year that goes by.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a very active family. We love to travel, explore new places and experience new adventures. We love going to the beach, going on hikes, riding bikes, and hanging out with family and friends. Our daughter takes karate and enjoys being outside in the neighborhood playing with friends. We also enjoy spending quiet time as a family playing games, watching movies together, having family dinners and just sitting down and talking to each other. We both love being parents and our life is family focused.
Why We Want to Adopt: Our path to adoption is different from what most couples have had to go through to get to this point. Since Natalia was born with a congenital defect in her heart that was fixed when she was a young child, we have always known that she would be able to live a long and healthy life, but that having children of our own would not be recommended and would be very risky for both Natalia and the baby. Although there are many alternatives to starting a family, adoption was and is the only option we have ever considered. Adopting our daughter has been the most amazing experience of our lives. We are super excited to welcome another baby into our home.
