How We Met: We met in 2012 while in college and started dating in 2013. We became friends through co-workers and college friends. I was completely shocked the day David told me he liked me. I never thought I would find someone as wonderful as David. He treated me like a queen! Our faith was the center of our relationship and that is a big part of what led us to each other. We continued to date through Melody’s second year of college. We had so many similar interests, so we always enjoyed being around each other. We got engaged May 17, 2014, and married October 4, 2014. We have a wonderful marriage, and we are able to work through our ups and downs with our faith at the center of our relationship.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: We admire each other very much. David is a natural leader who is inspiring and faithful. He is loving, caring, loyal, and wise. Melody is nurturing, loving, responsible, faithful, and genuine. We respect each other deeply and always make time for each other. We always listen and support each other. We make sure to say “I love you” each day!
Our Hobbies and Interests: We enjoy many activities together including: hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, road trips, camping, gardening, sports, campfires, and more. David is a football fan and Melody loves making homemade crafts and cooking. We love spending time outdoors and doing active things together. We are also involved in church and make faith the center of our family.
Why We Want to Adopt: We want to be the parents that will unconditionally love and support your child, providing them with everything they need to thrive. We desire to raise them in a way that helps them reach their greatest potential and positively impact others around them. Deciding to place your child with another family is not taken lightly and we understand that it is such a big sacrifice. A sacrifice of love. We believe your child is already incredible and unique, exactly how God made them to be. Our promise to you for your child is that they will have loving and patient parents that are willing to care for them and love them in the way that they need. We want to adopt as we feel it is a calling on our lives from God and we want to be loving parents to a child that will one day impact the world.
