Why I Haven’t Married:  I’ve had a few wonderful relationships but haven’t yet found my person (my husband). I believe marriage is sacred and that’s not something I take lightly. I’m looking for a partner, an encourager, and someone to walk next to on this beautiful, and sometimes difficult, journey through life. In the meantime, I have a wonderful network of friends and family who support me and are walking with me on my adoption journey and in all aspects of life.

Qualities Others Love, Admire and Respect About Me: My love for children started at a very young age, and it’s something people notice about me immediately. I’m so lucky to be “Aunt Heather” to so many of my friends’ children and it’s an honor to be part of their lives. My friends would say that I’m loyal, dedicated, fun to be around, and someone who loves to laugh. They would say that I have a heart for others and for being a positive light in the world.

My Hobbies and Interest: I love to hike, cook, and have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I like to travel to new places around the world and learn and grow from the new experiences and cultures. I have a small garden in my backyard and love to try new recipes with the vegetables I’ve grown. Spending time with friends and loved ones is a true joy for me, and whenever possible I like to host friends at my home.

Why I Want to Adopt: I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to be a mother and have felt a desire to adopt for years. My mother has five adopted siblings and adoption has always been such a beautiful part of our story.
