How We Met: We met through mutual friends at a bonfire almost 12 years ago. We instantly became friends and then a few months later began dating. We dated for several years and then married on a very, very hot day in August. We have grown a lot, laughed even more, and learned so much about each other and about life.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Jacob is truly one of a kind. He has a hard-working ethic, he is generous, always sees the good in situations, and most importantly loves the Lord. Anything he does, he puts his best effort in. He loves his family and will do anything for them. He is quick witted, lives life to the fullest, and is constantly making everyone around him laugh. Taylor is the most selfless person. No matter what is going on in life, she is always more worried about everyone else rather than herself. Taylor’s gift is that she has a giving heart. She is consistently raising money for a nonprofit and always looking for ways to volunteer and serve in the community.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We both love spending time with both sides of our families and having game nights or hosting family get-togethers. We both buy and sell antiques and enjoy setting up at antique shows. We like to travel often, whether it’s going to an antique show or going on a family vacation to the beach. We love to celebrate holidays, especially the Christmas season. We enjoy going to and watching college and professional football games. Jacob also enjoys dirt-track racing and duck hunting. Taylor also likes to make pottery and read.
Why We Want to Adopt: Adoption has been on our hearts for a while now. However, after struggling with infertility for a few years, we believe the Lord has been telling us that now is the time to adopt. We could not be more excited to grow our family through adoption! We look forward to starting this new season of our lives as we experience the joys, challenges, and growth that comes along with being parents.
