How We Met: We met after college through mutual friends. We hung out with the same group of friends. About 8 months after we met, Jesse asked Victoria to go on a date as he no longer wanted to be just friends. We had Thai food, went to an art show, and then walked the Pier at the beach. While at the beach, we saw shooting stars and both of us individually thought that we could see ourselves marry the other and have been together ever since. We are so grateful that our relationship started as a friendship because we genuinely love to be with each other, and every day is a wonderful adventure.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Jesse is loyal, smart, and cares deeply for others. He loves his family and has had some of the same friends since elementary school. He is also a hard worker and loves his job. He is a wonderful father and role model for our son and spends most of his free time playing with him. Victoria is bright, organized, thoughtful, and very caring. She always seems like she is having fun, no matter where we are or what we are doing. She is very authentic and confident and not afraid to be herself. She is an inspiring mother. We both place our marriage and family at the top of our priorities and make sure to have fun.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a loving family, and our favorite thing is to spend time together. We love to travel, play board games, watch movies, swim in the pool, and go on new local adventures. We believe in kitchen dance parties, family dinners, exploring our interests, reading lots of books, and having a good time together. Jesse loves sports, wrestling, and video games. Victoria loves reading, tennis, and photography. We both love eating good food, cooking, trying new restaurants, and celebrating holidays and accomplishments, both big and small.
Why We Want to Adopt: We always knew that we wanted to have children. We struggled with infertility and did multiple rounds of IVF. We were successful once and had our biological son. Luckily, our struggles have only made us closer as a couple. Adoption is something we have thought about throughout our lives and before we got married, we made sure the other was comfortable with the idea of adopting someday. Parenting is the best thing we have ever done, and we feel so blessed to be able to raise our son. Our hearts are calling for one more child to complete our family.
