How We Met: Our friends introduced us in San Francisco. We couldn’t stop talking and found we share core values of honesty, compassion, putting family and friends first, and enjoying life. Everything we did together made us smile. We knew instantly we wanted to marry and raise a family together. We talked about adoption on our second date, and it is our dream to welcome a second child to our family.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Jim about Myriam: “She is the warmest person I know and is always thinking of others. She is a wonderful mother, who creates a kind and loving home where everyone is listened to and respected. She is naturally great with kids – finding joy in the world and relating to them with kindness. She is funny, has a Master’s degree and speaks several languages including French, Spanish and English, which she has been teaching our son and will teach all our children. She brings kindness and humor to everything, and all of our children will grow up in a loving home.” Myriam about Jim: “My Beloved Jim is the most intelligent person I know. He has a big heart and is generous. He has a PhD, played baseball in college, and directs engineering. He loves being a dad. He is the yin to my yang and we balance each other out.”
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are very active! Biking, Basketball, baseball, soccer and swimming are a big part of our lives – We were both lifeguards in High-school. We love to travel! We have been to France, Spain, New Zealand, Sweden, Greece, Japan, Singapore, England, Switzerland, Hawaii and all across the US, Mexico and Canada – California is our home base. All kids in our family will grow up active and seeing the world! As a family we like to cook together, play quiz games, go to movies, musicals and basketball games. Our family values are to listen to each other, be honest, laugh and be close to our friends and family. Our whole family says what we are grateful for each night before bed. Family is the most important thing in our lives, and we love being parents.
Why We Want to Adopt: We talked about adopting on our second date. We are so grateful to have one child. He is a medical miracle and we hope to grow by adoption. We had many advanced miscarriages and are excited for the adoption chapter. Being parents gives us so much joy, and our son hopes to be a big brother soon. All children growing up in our family will have the same loving environment and wonderful life. Our hearts are open and we can’t wait to add you to our family!!
