How We Met: We met in 2008 at Latessa’s sister’s birthday party. We began to chat as Joe enjoyed Latessa’s mother’s pasta salad and the rest is history.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Joe has a sensitive and nurturing spirit that attracted me to him that fateful day at my sister’s party. I instantly knew he was a kind person and that kindness shows in the way he takes his time with his goddaughter, the mentoring of the young boys who play football for him and the way he makes sure that his loved ones, especially me, are taken care of. He is a principled man that gives 100% to his family. Latessa has a smile that will light up a room. She makes the house a home and makes people feel at home around her. She does not seem to know any strangers; if she meets one, they will soon find something in common and if they are lucky, she will share her smile with them , too. Latessa works hard to make sure that her loved one get what they need and she enjoys doing for others and will no doubt give a child everything.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We both love mentoring young people. Joe is a volunteer football coach to boys up to ninth grade. He loves to watch sports, particularly football and basketball. He enjoys cooking, going to the movies and attending local civic and community events. He also likes trying new restaurants and researching events all over the city. Latessa enjoys volunteering and is quite active in her sorority as well as in mentoring young girls and teens in her local community. She also enjoys spending time with her niece, baking, reading and writing poetry. She is also a holiday enthusiast.
Why We Want to Adopt: We are so blessed to have found each other and to have our families nearby. Our house has seen birthday parties, casual Sunday dinners, football game watch parties and holiday dinners. When we are together with our families it is all about fun, fellowship and family. We dream of filling our home up with love and little ones. We believe adoption is the beautiful result of selflessness, bravery, and sacrifice and we promise to love your child with every inch of our being.
