How We Met: Our love story is simple; fate brought us together. Jillian was working at an ad agency in NYC after graduating college. One day her co-worker showed her a resume he had received for someone named Keith. Seeing that Keith lived in the same state she was born and raised in, her co-worker joked that this must be her future husband. One month later, Keith was hired, three months later, we were becoming best friends, and one year later, we were dating. We knew immediately something big and life-changing was happening. It was fun, effortless, and just felt right when we were together.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Keith makes me laugh every day with his humor and great storytelling. He is kind and generous. Keith treats me with respect and love. He is a dedicated and hard worker and a fantastic boss. He is gentle, calm, honest, reliable, and steady. He is my rock, and I can always count on him. Jillian is selfless. Her desire to put the needs of others before her own is remarkable. She makes everyone she interacts with feel welcomed and valued. She is funny, warm, a great multi-tasker, and keeps our family organized and running. She is my best friend, my confidante, and my biggest supporter.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We love spending time together—whether walking our golden retriever, Kingston; cheering on the local college basketball team; watching our favorite show; or climbing 674 stairs to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Traveling and exploring new places is one of our favorite things, but a typical weekend consists of hiking the trails around our home, catching a game on TV or in person, and Keith making a delicious dinner (he is an amazing cook). We pray together and attend church every week. We love to laugh, dance in the kitchen, visit family and friends, and simply be in each other’s company.
Why We Want to Adopt: From the earliest days of our marriage, we felt the call to be parents. When we realized we could not conceive a child of our own, the potential gift of being adoptive parents was placed in our hearts. Having and raising a child would fulfill our biggest collective dream — to share our deep love for one another with a child. To watch a little one grow and have the opportunity to share this beautiful world and God’s great love with them would be our most incredible adventure yet; we hope we’re blessed to have that opportunity.
