How We Met: We met online through a Catholic dating site. We got to know each other first through phone calls and FaceTime chats, some of which lasted anywhere from four to eight hours. We got to know each other as friends before deciding to date. After about three months, we knew we were attracted to each other, and wanted to plan a visit. We were able to arrange our first visit two months later. We were married about two years after meeting online!

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Patrick is the most loyal, faithful, patient, loving, self-sacrificing husband and father. He is always willing to run errands or help with chores whenever asked or needed. Katherine is the most loyal, faithful, loving, and supportive wife and mother that any husband could ever want. The greatest blessing is that we complement each other well, with Katherine being strong in finances, schedule keeping, and teaching while Patrick is strong in house-cleaning and home organizing. We are blessed to have found each other and our son, James.

Our Hobbies and Interests: We are both very active in that Katherine exercises almost every day, and we enjoy taking a nice family walk each Sunday together. Patrick enjoys following spaceflights and visiting thrift stores. Katherine enjoys taking Group Cycle classes at the Y, and taking our son, James, to the park or library. We both enjoy taking James to Mass and social events at church.

Why We Want to Adopt: We have been open to life since marriage and have not been able to conceive a child. We feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to adopt our first child and we prayed and discerned that we were called to adopt a second child. We would love to give James the opportunity to have a sibling. We see children as a gift and blessing to a family.
