How We Met: Pete and Lauren met at a dinner party through mutual friends on May 17, 2007. There was an immediate connection, and we talked all night. Pete lived in PA and Lauren lived in NJ, so the relationship began long distance. Soon, we were inseparable, and Lauren moved to PA. We were married in a church at the beach in Bay Head NJ in 2009, surrounded by family and friends.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Lauren is completely devoted to our children and family. And her love for animals is matched by none – she would bring in every stray if she could! She is smart and very driven to succeed. Lauren loves deeply and fights for what she believes. She wants only the best for her family. Pete is strong – body and mind. He possesses a steady and unwavering calm about him and while he can appear reserved and quiet, he really loves to talk! He always puts others first and is supportive and hard working. He’s a great short order cook and loves being outdoors playing with the kids.

Our Hobbies and Interests: We love to do things as a family! We love sports – playing, cheering and coaching – basketball, lacrosse, football, cross country and more. We also love to travel – especially Europe, and spend lots of time during the summer at our family beach house too. In the winter we head to the mountains to ski as much as possible. At home we enjoy cooking, drawing & crafts – Pete is quite the artist. Lauren loves interior design and architecture. Family is most important to us and we love just being together.

Why We Want to Adopt: We have always wanted a strong family and are very child centered. After having two biological children Lauren had a health scare and was not able to have any more children. We wanted to grow our family and pursued adoption. We adopted a baby girl who we nurtured for one full year until she was returned to her biological father. We are reengaging the adoption process to follow our dream of embracing a third child in our life to love and complete our family.
