Seth and Nathaniel

“Adopting Simon in April 2020 was an amazing experience and being parents has been the best thing we’ve done as a couple. We look forward to growing our little family once again.”

Location: Massachusetts

Ages: 37 and 38

Religion: Jewish/Agnostic

Professions: Professor/School Nurse

Other Kids: 1 son (adopted)

Preferences: African American/Bi-Racial, Either Gender, Newborn to under 1 month

How We Met: It may sound cliché, but we met in college when Nathaniel joined Seth’s fraternity. We bonded over our community service projects and playing board games together. What began as friendship quickly turned to dating and from there rather quickly to a serious relationship.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Seth is one of the most motivated people that I know. When he sets a goal for himself, he is tireless in following through on it. As a husband he always goes out of his way to make me feel loved and appreciated. As a father, he always has a lot of patience and is never afraid to be a complete goof if it will make Simon laugh. Nathaniel is a loving husband and an amazing father. He is the one who responds to Simon’s booboos with a kiss and a hug. He is an incredibly nurturing and caring person who is also amazingly intelligent and has a great dry sense of humor.

Our Hobbies and Interests: Both of us enjoy playing all kinds of games and being outdoors. Seth has recently gotten very into chocolate making, much to the delight of our friends and families and has spent several years studying martial arts. Nathaniel has an aquarium which he always enjoys taking care of and loves board games. Our son Simon loves running around the Science Museum, rock climbing, and swim class. As a family we love going to the science museum, the zoo, and the aquarium. We also love traveling and exploring new cities and states.

Why We Want to Adopt: When we started dating, we both knew we wanted to have children. Adopting Simon in April 2020 was an amazing experience and being parents has been the best thing we’ve done as a couple. We think now is a good time to have a second child and for Simon to be an older sibling. He is really excited to have a baby brother or sister and we look forward to growing our little family once again.
