How We Met: We met in middle school, but not until high school did our friendship grow into a deep love and appreciation for each other. Our relationship carried over into college and we were engaged for a few months before we got married, just a few months before I (Kelsey) graduated from college. We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other. This year we celebrate 6 years of marriage, and every day we learn to love each other more.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Zach is joyful, patient, outgoing and has an authentic love for people. He enjoys connecting with new people and building lasting friendships. He is always the first to lend a helping hand. He enjoys coaching boys high school basketball which allows him to share his time, talent and resources with others. His love of life is infectious. Kelsey is bright, organized, very family-orientated and carries a huge smile everywhere she goes. She is very artistic, loves the fresh air in the summer and hot drinks and cozy blankets in the winter. She is not as out-going as Zach but has a heart of gold and is always thinking of others first.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We are a very active family. We love being able to share the many hobbies we have with one another and the people around us. We love to cook and host friends and family for game nights. We enjoy a good cup of coffee and dates in the city. We both love sports and play them whenever we get a chance. We have been able to travel together all over the world and enjoy all the different cultures. We also enjoy spending quiet time together, watching movies together, hiking, summer BBQ’s, going to the park with our dog, Luna and dream of the day we get to do all of these things with our family.
Why We Want to Adopt: We have always known that we wanted to have a blended family with adopted and biological children. Adopting a child prior to having biological children has always been a dream for us. There are no known fertility issues that would prevent us from conceiving a child. We have close friends that have also adopted both domestically and internationally. We know deep in our hearts we have so much love to give and starting our family is the next stage in our lives. This will be the start of something beautiful.
