Zack and Luke

“We are so excited to have the opportunity to go on this adoption journey and enter the next phase of our lives as dads.”

How We Met: We actually met online! We started dating in the fall, and some of our first activities together were getting lost (literally!) in a corn maze, hiking around New England, carving pumpkins for Halloween, and getting to know each other over lots of dinners and conversations. We moved in after two years together, and soon after that we got engaged and then married. Along the way, we’ve met each other’s families and friends, traveled all over America together, and turned our living space into a real home together.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Luke is caring, passionate, thoughtful, silly, and an amazing long-term planner. He’s always thinking of our needs and has a vision for our future. Zack is funny, smart, loving, and an amazing connector. He makes time for friends and family and helps to keep us connected to those we love. We also prize our communication skills, and our ability to express gratitude for the work each of us does to help sustain and grow our relationship.

Our Hobbies and Interests: We love the outdoors and try to get outside as much as possible: walks in the parks near our home, hikes in New England and beyond, bike rides through the city, and working in our giant garden (Luke grows the flowers, Zack grows the vegetables). We also like trying out new recipes together and maintain a recipe book of our favorites. At the end of a long day of work, we also enjoy sitting down, relaxing, and watching TV or reading together.

Why We Want to Adopt: Both of us have wanted to be parents as far back as we can remember. We are eager to get to share what we love with future children and introduce them to our favorite people and places. We know there’s a lot to learn as a first-time parent, but we are so excited to have the opportunity to go on this adoption journey and enter the next phase of our lives as dads.
