How We Met: Our love story began all the way back in middle school. We met when Tim’s family moved to town and there was an immediate attraction. We dated on and off throughout high school and into college before going our separate ways. We both experienced the ups and downs of life while apart and learned a lot of life lessons. By divine intervention we were reconnected in 2013 and have been together since. We were married in November of 2017 and immediately started trying to grow our family. Our struggles with infertility and our journey into adoption, has only made our love for each other and for family that much stronger.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other: Tim owns a construction company so you will usually find him fixing something. Tim is an introvert by nature, but loves his family and would do anything to help others. You can always count on Tim to be there when you are in need. He is generous, loyal, and protective. Tim has a sweet tooth that can never be satisfied. Heather is a former middle school teacher who loves kids. She is a nurturer at heart and loves helping others. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys running, yoga, watching movies, and being outdoors.
Our Hobbies and Interests: We both have a lot of extended family that lives in town, so we love getting together with them on the weekends to go to the beach, out for a boat ride, or a relaxing day at the pool or park. We enjoy traveling to new places, spending time at the family lake house, and going to Disney World. We have two dogs, Mowgli and Mila, that love kids and can never get enough snuggles! We spend a lot of time with our nieces and nephews and they love having sleep overs at our house!
Why We Want to Adopt: When we were reunited in 2013, we were both very vocal about our desires to start a family in the future. We always knew we wanted children and even discussed adoption being part of our future story, although we weren’t sure if that would be right away or after having biological children. Following our wedding in 2017, we immediately started trying to get pregnant and quickly realized we were going to need assistance from the experts. We pursued fertility treatments for two years, but decided not to proceed and follow our hearts to adoption. We cannot wait to share our love with a child and look forward to honoring you in the years to come!
